Uptown Sedona
Uptown Sedona comprises the original town of Sedona at the mouth of Oak Creek Canyon.
From Uptown Sedona, you can enjoy views of Camel Head & Snoopy Rock, Thumb Butte & The Bench, The Sphinx, Steamboat Rock and more.
The portion of Uptown Sedona that is along Highway 89A is the focal point of tourist activity in the area with shops, restaurants, hotels, art galleries, Pink Jeep Tours, the Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center, and the Sedona Arts Center.
Located just north of the intersection of Highway 179 and Highway 89A, Uptown Sedona is along the northern section of Highway 89A.
West Sedona
West Sedona is the primary residential and day-to-day business area of our town.
West Sedona offers you views of Coffee Pot, Capitol Butte, Chimney Rock, and many more.
The National Forest is never far away and the views can be truly spectacular.
Located just west of the intersection of Highway 179 and Highway 89A, West Sedona is along the western route of Highway 89A.
Red Rock Loop
Red Rock Loop is a separate area outside the Sedona city limits and is entirely surrounded by National Forest.
From the Red Rock Loop, you can enjoy views of Red Rock, Cathedral Rock, and more.
The Upper Loop Road starts at Red Rock High School on Highway 89A and runs through beautiful vistas of red rock formations, exiting at the Lower Loop Road.
Located just west of West Sedona, Red Rock Loop is south of Highway 89A.
Oak Creek Canyon
Oak Creek Canyon is a 16-mile gorge known for its trails, waterfalls, hiking, and incredible views that calls out to those looking to enjoy the outdoors.
Located just north of Uptown Sedona along Highway 89A, Oak Creek Canyon is among one of the most scenic drives in the country.
Chapel Area
The Chapel Area offers view lovers spectacular panoramas of Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Northern Bell and Submarine Rock & Chicken Point.
This area includes the Chapel of the Holy Cross which is considered one of Arizona’s Seven Wonders.
Located just north of Bell Rock and extending north to the intersection of Highway 179 and Highway 89A , the Chapel Area is along both sides of Highway 179.
Villages of Oak Creek
“The Village” offers you views of Cathedral Rock, Castle Rock, Courthouse Butte, Northern Rock, Bell Rock, and many more.
Here, you can decide to play a round at one of the Village’s area golf courses or go for a hike in the red rocks, grab a bite to eat at a café, shop The Collective and other retail centers, and end the day with fine dining.
The Village of Oak Creek is 10 minutes south of Uptown Sedona along Highway 179, the “Red Rock Scenic Byway”. If you are coming north on I-17 to the Sedona area, the Village of Oak Creek will be about 10 minutes once you take the Highway 179 exit.
